Food Addiction Alert: Fats Have a Face

Don’t let the word “diet” mislead you when watching this YouTube video. For food addicts, emotional eaters, and anyone struggling to lose weight, the information about how to recognize fats is priceless.

Zoe Harcombe is an author, Nutritionist & Obesity Researcher, and founder of The Harcombe Diet. I am blown away by the brilliant analogy she uses to identify fats and distinguish them from carbohydrates.

  1. Where do nuts like cashews come in? They have a lot of fat and no face. Avocados have a lot of fat too, but no face.

    Where do they fit in?

  2. Bernadette says:

Great question, Gregory. Nuts are a wonderful natural source of concentrated proteins and fats. Because of the level of concentration, they should be eaten between meals in small amounts, and not at the end of the meal. The negatives start when nuts are subjected to high temperatures, roasted for instance. The excessive heat changes the nature of the fats, which changes the way they react in your digestive system.

Dr. Norman Walker recommends teaming them up with fresh carrot juice. Arnold Ehret suggests combining nuts with raisins. Both are scientists and experts in the field of nutrition and longevity.

As for avocados, one of my personal favorites, they are over 70% water and actually considered a fruit. They are also known as Alligator Pears and are one of the best sources of organic fats you’ll find anywhere.

A fat without a face is a good fat.
